Anubias Minima
Description / Appearance
Anubias Minima is a rather medium-sized aquatic plant and a variety of its kind. It is also known under the name Anubias Glabra or Kruising. Its leaves are geometrically oval and narrower in shape and have a smooth structure. It has a slight undulation on the leaf margins. From the color it brings out a strong green. Overall, it looks very natural, which is why it is so popular in the aquarium.
History
Anubias in German also called spear leaves is a water plant that is also very popular in the aquarium hobby. Their name is derived from the Egyptian god of the dead Anubis. Probably because it grows in shady places in the rainforests of West Africa. It mainly thrives on the edge of water and tropical swamps.
Maintenance
Anubias are very easy to care for and are therefore particularly popular with newcomers to the aquarium hobby. In the great outdoors, she loves a shady place, so that she hardly needs any light when positioned in the aquarium. The Anubias are epiphytes (perch plants) that grow emersed (above the surface of the water), but also submerged (below the surface of the water. Particularities
The Anubias really have hardly any demands and are extremely robust. They get by without the addition of CO2 and hardly need any light. Naturally, it only grows very slowly, so that the plants become real rarities and thus a collector's item that you can have a lot of fun with. Who doesn't enjoy the calming effect of a local water landscape ?!
