Anubias barteri var. Nana Variegated is a rather small aquatic plant and a variety of its kind. Its leaves are geometrically oval shaped and smooth in structure. From the color it brings out a strong green. Overall, it looks very natural and that is why it is so popular in the aquarium. Particularly suitable for nano tanks.
History
Anubias in German also called spear leaves is a water plant that is also very popular in the aquarium hobby. Their name is derived from the Egyptian god of the dead Anubis. Probably because it grows in shady places in the rainforests of West Africa. It mainly thrives on the edge of water and tropical swamps.
Maintenance
Anubias are very easy to care for and are therefore particularly popular with newcomers to the aquarium hobby. In the great outdoors, she loves a shady place, so that she hardly needs any light when positioned in the aquarium. The Anubias are epiphytes (perch plants) that grow emersed (above the surface of the water), but also submerged (below the surface of the water. Particularities
The Anubias really have hardly any demands and are extremely robust. They get by without the addition of CO2 and hardly need any light.
