Bolbitis Heudelotii
Description
Bolbitis Heudelotii is a rather medium to large water plant. It is native to Africa. We also know it as the Congo fern or the African river fern. In terms of its appearance, it looks like a classic-looking fern, which stands for its fan-like and légèren leaves. From the color it brings out a juicy green transparency. Bolbitis Heudelotii is a ride-on plant that likes to attach itself to stones and roots. All in all a very natural looking plant that does particularly well in natural aquariums. Also suitable for newcomers.
History
Bolbitis Heudelotii, also known as Congo fern, comes from tropical Africa and has been known as a terrarium plant for a while.
Maintenance
Bolbitis Heudelotii are slow growing. They belong to the genus epiphytes (perch plants). So ideally they need a hard surface (hardscape) such as stones, bones, roots, etc. to be able to wrap around them. It is fixed with a special thread or adhesive, which we offer for you to order here in our Buce2Love shop. Important: Do not illuminate too strongly, otherwise algae can form.
Otherwise very undemanding in keeping and care and can therefore be described as frugal and therefore particularly suitable for newcomers to the aquarium hobby. They are robust, require a medium level of illumination (appropriate lighting) and a temperature like in their home, which is between 20 and 28 ° C.
