Hydrocotyle Leucocephala (InVitro)
Description
Hydrocotyle Leucocephala is a rather smaller aquatic plant. It is based in Brazil. In German it is known as the Brazilian pennywort and water ivy, which is quite accurate due to its appearance. It belongs to the Aralia family and grows in South American swamps. The color it brings out a rich green and looks very natural. Hydrocotyle Leucocephala has long been a classic in the aquarium hobby. Small fun fact: the leaves are actually edible and have a slight taste of black pepper. In some areas it is therefore used as a spice plant.
