Bucephalandra sp. Brownie Jade 2013
description
Bucephalandra Brownie Jade 2013 is a rather small to medium-sized aquatic plant. It is undoubtedly a very popular and rare plant. Almost like a good wine, the vintage plays a relevant role in the context of the rarities, which also explains the value. From the naming that has become established in retail, it is easy to infer what it refers to. We are dealing with a traditional brownie, which is a bit smaller and, because of its color nuances, has been given the additional designation "jade", which in turn refers to the mineral jadeite. A very beautiful and rare plant that is also suitable for newcomers to the aquarium hobby.
history
The Bucephalandra Brownie Jade 2013, like all Bucephalandra plants, has its origin in Borneo and has been cultivated with good success for some time.
Appearance
Bucephalandra Brownie Jade 2013 is of small to medium size and convinces with its color appearance. Their leaves look similar to those of the coin. They are geometrically rounded and leathery in nature. It has no corrugation on the leaf edges and its soft contours make it look very elegant. The color it brings out a juicy green, which of course reminds of jade, the jadeite. Visually a very beautiful plant that can be best positioned in the front or middle part of the aquarium. It has a thicker rhizome. A valuable rarity!
care
All Bucephalandra belong to the genus Epiphytes (perch plants). So Bucephalandra ideally needs a hard surface (hardscape) such as stones, bones, roots etc. in order to be able to wrap their rhizome (stem axis system) around them. It is fixed with a special thread or adhesive, which we offer for you to order here in our Buce2Love shop. Bucephalandras are otherwise very undemanding in their keeping and care and can therefore be described as frugal and therefore particularly suitable for newcomers to the aquarium hobby. They are robust, require a medium level of illumination (appropriate lighting) and a temperature like in their home on Borneo, which is between 20 and 28 ° C. Ideally, you should ensure that there is sufficient water movement because they love it.
Bucephalandra sp. Brownie Jade 2013 does not require any special care and can be handled like all Bucephalandras. It is advisable to plant them in basins that have already been retracted.
particularities
Every Bucephalandra is actually something special and, due to its biodiversity, is so popular and sought after in the aquarium hobby. Bucephalandra naturally grows very slowly, so that the plants become real rarities and thus a collector's item that you can have a lot of fun with. Who doesn't enjoy the calming effect of a local water landscape ?!
Our Buce2Love team knows how to look at the photos, especially for newcomers. Since the name sp. (spec) and there could be disagreements in the genre, as there is as yet no scientific standard catalog that has universal validity.
