Bucephalandra Micro Belindae
Description
The Micro Belindae is a smaller aquatic plant, which is probably named because of its size. The name Belindae seems to be just a proper name. Its elongated and narrow leaves, which taper like a palm tree, are somewhat similar to the Bucephalandra Mini Crocodile. In its overall appearance it looks very tropical and fascinating. So far nothing is known about the exact origin. Like many of its conspecifics, it will have developed as a rheophyte in streams and waterfalls.
History
Like all Bucephalandra plants, the Bucephalandra Micro Belindae has its origin in Borneo and has been cultivated with good success for some time.
Appearance
Bucephalandra Micro Belindae can be classified as a rather smaller aquatic plant due to its growth. Your overall appearance stands out clearly. It has elongated and narrow leaves that are slightly reminiscent of a palm or ribbon stalks. The leaves are slightly wavy at the edge. The color it brings out a deep green with harmoniously blending color nuances. It has an even growth. Without a doubt, the Micro Belindae has a fascinating effect and looks really good in the aquarium.
Care
All Bucephalandra belong to the genus Epiphytes (perch plants). For example, Bucephalandra ideally needs a hard surface (hardscape) such as stones, bones, roots, etc. in order to be able to wrap their rhizome (stem axis system) around them. It is fixed with a special thread or adhesive, which we offer for you to order here in our Buce2Love shop.
Bucephalandras are otherwise very undemanding in their keeping and care and can therefore be described as frugal and therefore particularly suitable for newcomers to the aquarium hobby. They are robust, require a medium level of illumination (appropriate lighting) and a temperature like in their home on Borneo, which is between 20 and 28 ° C. Ideally, you should ensure that there is sufficient water movement because they love it.
Bucephalandra Micro Belindae does not require any special care and, like all Bucephalandras, can be handled. It is advisable to plant them in basins that have already been retracted.
Particularities
Every Bucephalandra is actually something special and, due to its biodiversity, is so popular and sought after in the aquarium hobby. Bucephalandra naturally grows very slowly, so that the plants become real rarities and thus a collector's item that you can have a lot of fun with. Who doesn't enjoy the calming effect of a local water landscape ?!
Our Buce2Love team knows how to look at the photos, especially for newcomers. Since the name sp. (spec) and there could be disagreements in the genre, as there is as yet no scientific standard catalog that has universal validity.
